SIX days until we move in! Things are coming together

Things are happening fast these days.

Here are the most recent pictures from Thursday evening (November 20) ...


The ramp has finally been poured. There are at least four heaters in the tarp tent (right side of picture, obscuring the front door) helping the concrete dry!




The carpet is on the stairs:




Sinks, toilets, faucets, shower heads...etc, all installed:





Closets have shelves and rods (This is the closet in my office in the basement):

The backsplash in the kitchen has been installed:






The lights on the back deck:




It's unbelievable. We've been waiting for so long, and now it is so close to completion! I really can't wait to move-in, and yet it is going to be such a busy week. Maybe the next time I post something, I will be in the new house! WOW!

Nov. 18 - More work on the ramp

The concrete guys are working so hard on the ramp - apparently it is really complicated.

Nov. 15 Tiles, upstairs flooring and more!

Here's my regular shot! Quite a change from the first picture I ever took of this lot! Notice that the form for the ramp is starting to go up!




Here is a picture taken from the front door looking to the back of the main floor. You can see the stairs to the basement, part of the living room (the windows on the left) and the kitchen (the island on the right).

Nov. 11 - Fireplace, Fixtures and Flooring

We are getting close!

The decking has been completed:




The wheel-in shower has most of the tiles:



The fireplace has bricks and a mantle. The flooring is going in. The living room is starting to look complete:




The lighting fixtures are being installed.

Nov. 2 - Trim, paint and more.

Today we brought dear friends to see the house. Each time I see the house I am amazed at the progress.

This is at the front of the house. You can see the unpainted siding, which will eventually be red. Preston is coming from the back of the house:

October 30 - About to install tiles

The finishing is coming along. Today the shower was being prepared. Here is a photo:
