After my meltdown at the flooring store last week, we returned this week to make our final decisions. Preston and I had been working on this during the past week and were able to make some decisions. It was basically the bathrooms that were still undecided. We also chose tiles for the backsplash in the kitchen and are really excited about these (although I forgot to take a picture) and we chose the paint colours for the interior of the house.
We are both happy with the choices and hope that they look as good as we think they will look.
Below are the choices we made for the bathrooms (the pictures don't quite capture the colours, but I think you can get a sense of things):
The Ensuite Bathroom (Tiles are for the walls and floor of shower and floor of entire bathroom, small sample is the laminate countertop):
The Main Floor Bathroom (Large sample is the floor, small one is the countertop):
The Basement Bathroom (Large sample on right is basement floor, on left is bathroom floor and small sample is countertop):

August 5th, Shingles are on and Geothermal system being installed!
So I went away for the long weekend and returned to Winnipeg to find the shingles on the house and drilling happening for our Geothermal system. I think over the next month, the outside will cease to have the rapid change that is has over the past month. There is not much left on the outside besides the siding, stucco, driveway, sidewalk and landscaping. Now we will start to see whether our choices for the inside of the house look like we thought they would.
Here are a few pictures of the house with the shingles and the geothermal drilling:
Here you can see the shingles a little better. We are very happy with the look of the shingles:
